Dear Friends and Neighbors,
This will be my last email update to you until December. On Monday, May 14, election-year restrictions go into effect, which prohibit further email updates until after Dec. 7.
Read our 10th District newsletter
My seatmate, Rep. Norma Smith, recently joined with me to co-author an after-session newsletter in a printed version. It was mailed out a few days ago and should be arriving soon in mailboxes throughout the 10th District.
I invite you to download and read this report which looks at achievements of the past two legislative sessions. Here is a link to that newsletter: 10th District Legislative Update.
Opioid crisis op-ed: Progress made, but more is needed to address this issue
I am proud of the progress we’ve made toward addressing the opioid crisis, starting with funding for a diversion center in Snohomish County. However, more needs to be done. This week, I penned an opinion editorial that looks ahead at this issue. You can read it here.
I work for you throughout the year
Although the session completed its business on March 8, I work for you throughout the year. During election years, such as this one, I am restricted in certain communications. However, I am able to respond to direct questions and/or inquiries, so I encourage you to contact my office in Olympia if you have any questions or concerns about legislative or state issues. The phone number is (360) 786-7914. My legislative assistant, Kendra Harris, will be glad to help you. You can also find my contact information at the bottom of this update.
Thank you for allowing me the honor of serving and representing you!
