Capital High School student serves as legislative page

Samuel H. LeBlanc, a student at Capital High School, Olympia, served as a page in the Washington House of Representatives. He was sponsored by Rep. Dave Hayes, R-Camano Island.

Each year, about 300 students participate in the page program. During their week in Olympia, pages assist legislators by delivering messages and documents to lawmakers in their offices, committee rooms, and in the House Chambers during floor sessions. In addition to his assigned duties, Samuel also continued his regular schoolwork two hours a day and spent time in the legislative page school learning about state government.

Samuel is the 16-year-old son of Charles and Sally LeBlanc, Olympia.
