Clarkston student assists as House page for Rep. Dave Hayes

Dreysan R. Shubert, a student at Clarkston High School, served as a page in the Washington State House of Representatives during the 2018 legislative session. He was sponsored by Rep. Dave Hayes, R-Camano Island.

Pages are responsible for delivering messages and documents to state lawmakers in their offices, committee meetings and the House chamber. During his week in Olympia, Dreysan also attended Legislative Page School.

To become a page, applicants must have a legislative sponsor, be between the ages of 14 and 16, and obtain written permission from their parents and school. Pages earn $35 per day while serving in the program.

Dreysan plays football, basketball, and baseball. He also enjoys wrestling. The 14-year-old is the son of Joel and Jennifer Shubert of Clarkston.
